As part of the shift towards Industry 4.0, which aims to free employees from repetitive tasks, the company wanted to automate the labor-intensive glass polishing process. This required programming complex movements for a small number of different glass sets. With the path recording feature of the Robotiq "FT 300 Force Torque Sensor," operators can grasp the device and perform the movements. The Universal Robot UR10 records this and replicates the operator's actions. Operators can avoid the common risk of musculoskeletal disorders and pain, allowing them to focus on value-added glass preparation tasks.
